It is so easy to let your power slip in a world that speeds ahead with little time to stop and tune in, and we do it in so many subtle ways, sometimes daily…
It can look as innocent like some of these below:
· Asking a friend for advice
· Using Google as a wise sage
· Following the pack
The problem is this: We are not like everyone else. We are unique biological beings with very different circumstances (both past and present). What works for your best friend may very well be the worst choice for you. We need to become more aware of our bodies and our emotions to guide us in making the best choices. We need to practice honing in on our intuition. And we need to follow the promptings of our heart.
Each time we tune in (and see how something sits within us) we allow our intuition to flex like a bicep, and it grows stronger with a louder voice. But every time we neglect to do so – maybe we are too busy, maybe we value the opinion of another more than our own wisdom, this muscle grows weak and can eventually go dormant.
When I first moved to Australia, I was immediately thrust outside my comfort zone and met a woman early in my journey that happened to be a psychic. We became friends quickly and I often got her to do mini readings for me to confirm I was on the right track. Over time a part of me came to rely on her confirmations and put her visions and guidance above my own.
What I didn’t realize then was that I was putting my trust in what she said rather than in what I felt inside. More often than not, what she said confirmed how I felt and made me feel better within myself.
But did I really need external confirmation? Yes it felt good but I came to depend on this to validate my choices
We often do this often UNKNOWINGLY.
The more important question to ask, next time you are facing a key decision, is “how do I feel about this decision?” You can even make a pro/con list to appease the logical part of your brain…and then you can imagine yourself choosing each option. Which one feels better to you?
Take your power back and flex that inner wisdom so it can guide you forward!
Next time you have a decision to make, practice tuning in and flexing the intuitive power within.
